LO: To discuss what media is and how it impacts our lives
. Definition: 'The main means of mass communication"
Different types of media: Social media, films, TV, magazines, music and artists, newspapers, search engines, advertisement, podcast, messenger, video games, radio.
Creating Meaning:
. A sign can be any physical form to which we give meaning, including words, pictures, colours and clothes.
My subject position is a male, age 13, white, straight, very very rich and a student who lives in Bodmin, Cornwall. Because of this i will have a very different life to a black, women who is lesbian from USA, very poor. This is because we have very different life expectancies.
But an 80 year old woman probably doesn't know who he is and most likely doesn't care about him.
Denotation means:
the dictionary definition.
Connotation means:
The deeper meaning-what
we associate with the word.
A guns connotations are, protection, death, war and sadness.
A clowns connotations are, death, parties, halloween and fun.
Thors connotations are, power, lightning, strength, hammer, violence and hero.

LO: To analyse texts using the correct terminology.
It's Brad Pitt. He looking fresh and people find him attractive so he will attract many people to the fragrance. He's wearing a chain so this implies that he may be rich.
This poster shows that the movie probably includes death due to there being a gun. His glasses shows that he is a robot because of all the symbols on his glasses. The man in this poster looks very hench and will probably take on a lot. The writing on the left really entices whomever reads this and then there gonna wanna watch the movie. The photo is very badass too.
